WASHINGTON, Aug 26 (Reuters) – U.S. air journey service complaints jumped 35% in June over Might as airways canceled or delayed 1000’s of flights, the U.S. Transportation Division (USDOT) mentioned Friday.
USDOT mentioned complaints are up almost 270% over pre-pandemic ranges — though carriers in June flew solely 86% of flights versus June 2019 ranges.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg final week urged the ten largest U.S. airways to do extra to assist stranded and delayed passengers, calling the extent of disruption vacationers have confronted this summer time as “unacceptable.”
