Tesla Inc TSLA rival and Chinese language EV-maker Nio Inc NIO has suspended manufacturing at its factories owing to COVID-19 restrictions, reported Reuters.
The report cited native tech information outlet 36Kr, which said Nio had began dealing with manufacturing challenges in mid-October on account of virus prevention measures and this finally led to each of its factories in Hefei stopping work.

“The information that manufacturing at Nio’s factories has been briefly suspended is true and it will have an effect on manufacturing and supply schedules,” Nio’s consultant instructed Reuters in response to a question in regards to the report.
Nio didn’t instantly reply to Benzinga’s request for remark.
The corporate delivered 10,059 autos in October 2022, representing a rise of 174.3% year-over-year. Cumulative deliveries of autos reached 259,563 as of October 31, 2022.
