Aug 4 (Reuters) – Plane lessor Air Lease Corp (AL.N) on Thursday reported an increase in second-quarter revenue as a rebound in journey drove demand for its jets.
Airways seeking to capitalize on the faster-than-expected restoration are fueling demand for the lessor’s new and young-used plane, supporting greater lease charges and boosting the worth of the jets in its fleet.
“Plane shortages and issues about future new plane supply delays are inflicting many airways to safe lease extensions on present plane,” stated Chief Government Officer John Plueger.

Final quarter, the leasing large had warned of a possible scarcity of business jets as high planemakers Boeing Co (BA.N) and Airbus SE (AIR.PA)confronted stretched provide chains and certification dangers, delaying deliveries.
Air Lease Chairman Steven Udvar-Házy stated the corporate is getting extra lease agreements.
It reported internet revenue of $105.9 million, or 95 cents per share, within the three months ended June 30, in contrast with a revenue of $85.6 million, or 75 cents per share, a 12 months earlier.
Income rose 13.4% to $557.7 million within the quarter.
